Eurofins MicroSafe has approximately 70 employees and is part of the internationally operating Eurofins Scientific. We have a professional team consisting of a mix of young and experienced people with different backgrounds and experiences.Eurofins MicroSafe Laboratories offers unique tests that allow us to investigate the safety, effectiveness and quality of a biological medicine, including cell and gene therapies, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. For example, we can demonstrate whether a medicine is free of microbial, viral or production process-related contamination. In addition to carrying out standard tests, we also set up product-specific tests in close collaboration with the client.Job DescriptionAs a Study Manager Virology, you translate client requests into concrete laboratory activities, develop the associated protocols and manage the project.You will also be responsible for:

• Planning and coordinating laboratory activities in consultation with Laboratory Supervisor;
• Monitoring progress and ensuring clear and timely reporting of the project;
• Overseeing timelines and costs;
• Ensuring the correct application of applicable guidelines and quality standards, and safeguarding the scientific quality of projects;
• Supporting the QA department during client audits and inspections, ensuring the quality and compliance of our processes.

In this role, you will maintain close communication with sales regarding quotes, with clients regarding progress and results, and with the laboratory team regarding the approach and execution of the work. You will collaborate closely with colleagues both within and outside Microsafe and actively participate in various meetings with departments of our organization.QualificationsWe are looking for a Virology Study Manager who recognizes themselves in the following profile:

• Completed MSc or PhD degree, preferably in Infection and Immunology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or a related field;
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a laboratory or research environment, with a strong focus on independently managing studies and projects;
• Familiarity with GMP guidelines is strongly preferred;
• Experience with cell biology and/or molecular biology techniques is preferred;
• You are customer-focused, motivated, and have a positive attitude;
• You have a reasonable understanding of Dutch and excellent mastery of the English language;
• You reside in the Netherlands within a reasonable distance of our Leiden location.
