Requirements:

• Master’s degree student or recent graduate in Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of NGS data/workflows and machine learning processes (training, validation, evaluation, inference).
• Proficiency in Python for programming tasks and good programming practices (design, linting, testing).
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Vue.js, and either NodeJS, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Bootstrap/Material Design libraries and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) using SqlAlchemy ORM.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), collaborative development workflows, CI/CD processes, and writing various types of tests (unit, integration, e2e).
• Strong problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in English.

You can get extra points for:

• Hands-on knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, MLFlow (or equivalent).
• Basic understanding of statistics and experience in computer vision is advantageous.
• Prior experience in machine learning projects (including academic ones) or internships is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud systems.
• Proficiency in developing web/desktop applications using various frameworks.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics sequence analysis methods, especially NGS, and basic understanding of RNA silencing mechanisms.
• Experience with virtual environments, Jupyter notebooks, and version control systems like Git.
• Previous exposure to biological databases such as NCBI and Ensembl.

As an intern, you’ll collaborate on a web application designed to visualize data for oncologists and researchers. You’ll have the opportunity to solve real-time challenges, work alongside senior software engineers, data scientists, and bioinformaticians, and interface with senior leadership. Additionally, you’ll gain hands-on experience in machine learning, including model development, training, evaluation, deployment, and maintenance, guided by experienced mentors. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to breakthrough solutions in the fight against cancer while expanding your professional network and skills in a dynamic environment.We offer
