The Inventory Supply Chain Planner is responsible for inventory management of finished goods for products and commercial organization to which he/she is assigned. This position primary coordinates with sites related Supply Planners and market related Demand Planners to develop Inventory strategies and tactics and Inventory replenishment plans. He also communicates Inventory situations with Customer service, Marketing and Commercial functions.
This position is responsible for Finished goods inventory metrics at Distribution center(s) he is assigned and will organize reporting on Back orders and finished goods short inventory situation and forecast for Quarter End by Business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Customer Service reporting on Product Availability
- Provide Commercial with expecting Back Order landing at Quarter End, and
- Optimize the overall cost of ownership of materials and services at each link of the supply chain
- Provide KPI reporting on supply, inventory, and supply chain costs that include customer service, plan attainment, inventory, and new product introductions
- Provides support to the Demand and Supply planning processes used in other sites and Divisions
- Identify and load planning parameters and data into Oracle or other systems to facilitate requirements generation and reporting
- Provide data and participate in the Sales & Operations Planning process meetings
- Assist with development of requirements, test scripts, and implementation of upgrades to Oracle and with any new supply planning software and process improvements
- Perform necessary Transactions to move inventory between Distribution centers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification:
Education
College Degree in related field – advanced degree a plus
APICS certification a plus
Experience and Skills
Strong English Language and communication skills, written and spoken
Minimum 5 years in different positions in supply planning or supply chain experience
Prefer experience with ERP systems and planning software – Oracle and demand planning tools a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Microsoft Access skills a plus
Ability to work with Demand Planning forecast software
Ability to travel up to 10%
Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments. Good negotiation and feedback skills
