£22,162 to £22,522
per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Technician (Teaching) for the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, based at the Sutton Bonington Campus. The person appointed will work as part of a team supporting the teaching activities of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science by ensuring that the Clinical skills, live animal (small and large), dissection, cadaver surgery and laboratory based practical classes are fully provided for through the provision of materials, advice, and operational support. The person appointed will support the running of the school’s animal facilities as well as the maintenance of all teaching areas, this will include stocking areas with consumables and ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all teaching areas are maintained to a high standard. The role will also include collection of material from abattoirs and clinical associate practices using university vehicles.
Candidates should possess GCSES (grade C and above), or work experience in a similar role. The post will require flexibility, along with basic IT skills and good communication skills. The successful candidate will take a positive and flexible approach to work to deal with a variety of requests and tasks.
This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share may be considered.
