CRH is expanding its Global Sustainability team and is looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join the existing Climate Action Team as part of Global Sustainability Department.
Sustainability is the business opportunity for CRH to realize its full potential and reinvent the way our world is built. The team’s aim is to support the development of a decarbonization strategy to enable CRH to adapt ahead of time to shifts in the external environment and to continue to deliver sustained value-creating growth.
As a Sustainability Data analyst, you will play an important role in advancing the critical agendas of Sustainability Strategy at CRH: By collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting various sets of complex data, you will ensure that we have the necessary information available for sound decision making.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Flexibility is required within the role, which includes both recurring core elements as well as periodic project-type activities. You will work on activities across different areas of Sustainability, especially on Decarbonization, recurring tasks including:
Data Analysis & Management
-Data Collection and Management: Gather, clean, and organize relevant sustainability data from various sources
-Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods, data visualization tools, and predictive analytics to assess internal and external data and identify trends, correlations, and patterns
-Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Development and Reporting: Create and track KPIs to measure sustainability performance and progress towards goals. Develop clear and concise sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholder
Roadmap Development
-Roadmap Management: Contribute to the development of roadmaps and action plans to achieve sustainability goals; Manage Roadmap process including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
-Sustainability Strategy: Participate in the development and implementation of the company’s overall sustainability strategy by providing profound data analysis and intelligible information.
-Goal Setting: Assist in setting measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) sustainability goals.
-Tool Development:
Support the implementation of a dedicated software to manage the decarbonization roadmap; Maintain and update the software solution to align with the decarbonization roadmap development.
Key competencies and relevant experience

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environment, sustainability, business, engineering, science, or economics. Relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
-Minimum 4-5 years of experience of working in a similar role, perhaps in a consulting organisation as a business or finance analyst or equity analyst.
-Highly numerate, with an analytical mindset. Ability to gather and process large amounts of information and data, draw conclusions and to present findings concisely to a range of stakeholders.
-Good system capabilities and excellent knowledge of Office 365 programs
-Fluency in English written and oral communication
-Willingness to travel internationally from time to time depending on task needs
-Flexibility to learn and develop together with our evolving sustainability agenda
-Self-motivated individual with ability to contribute both individually and as part of the wider team to achieve objectives
