The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. This role sits within LSHTM’s sustainability team and offers an exciting opportunity that will be crucial as part of the implementation of the Schools’ Energy and Carbon Management Plan (ECMP) to help towards achieving our net zero emissions reduction target. The role is essential in enabling systemic changes and will be at the forefront of behaviour change efforts across the School. The role will work across academic and professional services departments and with LSHTM partners, external organisations and stakeholders. The role will facilitate the alignment of policies, processes and strategies across LSHTM and partners, with our net zero and sustainability goals.

The post-holder will have a degree or Professional qualification in Environmental Sciences or other related subject and experience of developing and writing strategies, policies and procedures. They should also have experience working with internal and external stakeholders alongside excellent oral and written communication skills. Further particulars are included in the job description.

The post is full-time 35 hours per week and permanent. The post is available from 1 July 2023.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range £42,875-£48,691 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
