Job Duties and Qualifications
-Under general supervision, coordinates the work of Operator Assistants and Service Operators at the job site during the operation of surface or down hole well logging equipment.
-Coordinates the activities of Operator Assistants and Service Operators during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment.
-Performs pre-job calcuations as required.
-Obtains pertinent service work information from the customer and effectively communicates appropriate information to assigned worksite staff.
-Communicates pre-job and on-the-job progress to customer.
-Communicates and negotiates with customer to resolive issues concerning invoicing service irregularities.
-Recognizes possible sales opportunities for the Company’s other products and services and communicates information to Service Coordinator or appropriate Company staff.
-Trains and provides guidance to Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the proper performance of pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
-Trains Service Operators and Operator Assistants in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment.
-Completes appropriate documents, reports, and forms that affect the financial results of the business unit, (field ticket, etc.).
-Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
-Skills are typically acquired through successful completion of high school diploma similar education and 1 year of experience as Service Operator-L&P, II.
-Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
-Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
-Must be knowledgeable of HMS standards and guidelines for PSL personnel.
-Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
-Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
-Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
