A pioneering semiconductor IP and SW company are searching for a driven and experienced SW Engineering Manager to define and drive the activities for their cutting-edge EDA SW offering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a SW development team building an EDA product for IP assembly, interconnect generation, and integration automation
• Mentor and grow team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support
• Foster a collaborative team culture focused on quality, reliability, and customer experience
• Establish reusable patterns, best practices, and coding standards to ensure consistency and maintainability
• Design and implement high-performance, modular, and extensible systems for large-scale SoC design workflows
• Develop and maintain a scalable, automated verification framework maximizing test coverage while controlling cost
• Ensure effective project execution: task allocation, milestone tracking, and on-time delivery of high-quality features
• Ensure the codebase is well-documented, maintainable, and compliant with industry standards
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering efficiency, robustness, and reliability
• Coordinate with other engineering teams to align on front-end, register, and integration requirements
• Partner with Project Management, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to understand priorities and deliver upcoming releases on time
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineers and Architects to understand new features and technical directions
Ideal background:
• 10+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor domain, including roles as a development or verification engineer and as an engineering manager
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, and Python, with the ability to contribute to the codebase and perform code reviews
• Deep expertise in RTL design and verification methodologies and languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, SystemC, UVM)
• Solid understanding of the IP-XACT standard for IP-based SoC design
• Strong background in software architecture, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• Good understanding of agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
