Our HR department is transforming. This is one of a number of positions being created to deliver the University’s new People and Culture Strategic Delivery Plan – you will play an important role as part of this exciting change, helping us embed the University’s values of Inclusivity, Ambition, Openness, Fairness and Respect.

To maintain its reputation and effectiveness the University of Nottingham is keen to ensure it attracts and nurtures deep pools of talent across the organisation. We are therefore looking for a Talent Manager to lead on our approach identifying, engaging, developing, and retaining those individuals in the University who have greatest potential to make a lasting positive impact on the University.  Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Learning & Development Team and beyond, this would entail ensuring an identified development path for people across the organisation, exploring ways to maximise the potential of teams and identify current and future talent populations needed by the University.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Learning & development, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and a group of people who are passionate about talent development in all its forms. We are ambitious for our people, and keen to ensure they realise their potential.

You will have experience that suggests you have a good understanding of talent development and retention, leadership development, relationship building, analytical and tech approaches, along with a spirit of continuous learning given the pace of change in this area.

This is a permanent position and hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours).
