Robert Half is currently looking for Tax Specialist for a leading logistics company.Our client is an international company located in the Antwerp region.As a Tax Specialist, you will be pivotal in dealing with all matters related to direct and indirect taxes.Your responsibilities include:

• Preparation and filing of corporate and local tax returns.
• Playing an advisory role on tax-related topics and providing internal consultations.
• Preparation and organization of tax audits and/or addressing questions.
• International tax reporting, ad hoc analyses, and reports.
• Reviewing prepared monthly VAT returns and filing VAT refunds in the EU.
• Assisting during internal audits and suggesting process improvements and solutions.
• Preparation of Annual Accounts in accordance with Belgian GAAP.
• Drafting intercompany contracts and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Management and follow-up of corrective action plans based on audits, and acting as a practical advisor to the management and business fields.
• Transferring VAT knowledge to the organization.

Ideal candidates should have:

• Knowledge and experience in tax, with preference given to expertise in VAT and corporate taxation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax function.
• Proficiency in the usual IT office packages.
• Fluency in Dutch and English. French is considered an asset.
• Flexibility, analytical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Dependability as a team player, as well as the ability to work independently.
• The willingness to stay updated with legislations and implement them accordingly.
