NLH435551Academic Appointments are working with a Secondary school in Sheffield who are currently searching for full-time Teaching Assistant to work as part of a dedicated and resourceful KS3 and KS4 team.Successful candidates will find themselves in a welcoming and positive environment with enthusiastic and creative teaching staff who are supported by a strong senior leadership team, all delivering in classrooms focused on maintaining a engaging atmosphere for children and practitioners alike.Requirements:To be considered for the teaching assistant position, you will:

• Hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience in schools
• Working knowledge of Safeguarding policy is highly desirable.
• Have experience working in a Secondary school setting.
• Have knowledge of the National Curriculum and maintaining records
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
• 2 x references (including your last employer)

Key responsibilities:

• Support groups of children with their learning under the guidance of a teacher
• Support individual children needing additional support
• Provide supervisory cover in the Teachers absence
