What are we looking for?We are looking for a Team Lead Remarketing to join our Auction Management team, whose mission is to place vehicles in the most suitable auctions to maximize bids and improve conversion rates. As the local Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring business continuity while driving the implementation of standardized processes defined by the EU Manager, supporting a unified way of working across Europe. Working closely with your peers and fellow team leads, you will take local market knowledge and “must-haves” into account, acting as a change ambassador—championing OPENLANE’s transformation and reinforcing our position in the European market. Depending on the size of your team, you will also contribute to daily operational tasks as needed.Depending on your experience, you will focus on:

  • Define auction strategies and allocate vehicles based on market demand and seller requirements to increase conversion rates
  • Channel vehicles into auctions according to OPENLANE guidelines, business priorities, and market trends
  • Plan and maintain a local auction calendar aligned with the pan-European and unify the existing calendar to streamline the offer for our buyers
  • Set starting prices per vehicle to ensure competitive and quality offers
  • Monitor auction performance and bidding activity, taking corrective actions when necessary
  • Provide feedback on auction results to the Customer Support team to improve conversion and assignment rates
  • Be responsible for the big commercial accounts (Lease Co’s, Rentals and OEM´s) as Account Manager together with the team an act as a daily counterpart for transactions
  • Support on administrative after-sales tasks which are linked to finalizing a transaction
  • Lead and coach your team members to foster personal growth and team success

RequirementsWho are you?

  • Proven experience in the automotive industry, preferably in remarketing, vehicle auctions, or used car sales
  • Strong understanding of vehicle sales cycles, market dynamics, and pricing strategies
  • Process-driven mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Experience with reporting tools and performance metrics (e.g., KPIs, conversion rates)
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms and internal tools (e.g., Dealer Portal, SnapLogic, or similar systems)
  • Knowledge on auction integrations, where cars from different platforms are co-listed at OPENLANE
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and regions, and serve as a change ambassador within a growing international organization
  • Flexible, hands-on, and solution-oriented, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational tasks
