Technician in Textile Based Soft Robotics

This is a technician role within the engineering department working on a research project based on smart textiles, where you will get to develop textile based exoskeletons (texoskeletons).

This role will specifically work to design a conformable yarn-based system to assist musculoskeletal patients during rehabilitation exercises and daily activities. As a proof of concept a prototype thumb-hole arm sleeve must be developed for patients with tennis elbow. You will get to co-design the thumb-hole arm sleeve using the input of the research team and patients with tennis elbow. 

​​​​​​​A masters in electronic/mechanical/biomedical engineering (MEng/MSc), skills in computer-aided design (CAD) and has worked with electro-pneumatic systems is highly desired.
