per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An opportunity has arisen for a Technician for the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, based at the Sutton Bonington Campus. The person appointed will be working in a busy pathology service which offers diagnostic reports to submitting clinicians. As a member of the team one of the key roles is the maintenance of facilities and equipment within the area to allow the safe and effective use of the post mortem room.

Candidates should possess 2 A levels in relevant subjects, plus some experience in a relevant area; or considerable relevant experience. Demonstrated understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures. The post will require flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with excellent communication skills.  The successful candidate will take a positive and flexible approach to work in order to deal with a variety of requests and tasks.

This is a permanent, full time role (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share may be considered.
