Project Manager – AI Projects (Government Sector)Contract | Outside IR35 | £400-£450/day | Central London / Hybrid | Start: Early July | 6 MonthsSalt’s Government Technology team is working with a private sector AI company that’s delivering cutting-edge conversational and voice AI solutions into the public sector. Their technology is already supporting multiple Government bodies – including councils and central agencies – to automate high-volume service interactions, reduce pressure on frontline teams, and improve access for citizens.With a growing portfolio of projects, they are now looking to bring in a Project Manager to lead delivery across a number of AI implementations.🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI and automation projects within Government settings
• Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies across internal teams and client stakeholders
• Drive client engagement, communication, and stakeholder alignment
• Support discovery phases, pilot rollouts, and transition to business-as-usual
• Ensure project outcomes meet the specific needs and constraints of public sector delivery

✅ Essential Experience:

• Strong, demonstrable experience delivering AI-focused projects – this is non-negotiable
• Experience delivering digital or technology projects in Government (Local or Central)
• Skilled in managing complex stakeholder environments
• Able to operate with autonomy in fast-paced, delivery-driven settings
• Familiarity with agile and iterative delivery methods preferred

💼 Contract Details:

• 6-month contract (Outside IR35)
• £400-£450/day
• Hybrid working – client is based in Central London
• Start date: Early July
