Offer DescriptionAs part of a continuing growth initiative, the Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) Department of Tilburg University, the Netherlands, invites applications for Assistant Professor in Information Systems.Our position
We are hiring for the academic year 2025-2026. Applicants must have obtained, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Information Management, Management, Information Science, or a closely related field. Research that connects IS with Operations Management is a plus.We aim to maximize the research time available to research-active faculty. Research time allocation for the tenure-track Assistant Professor is set at 60%. Research time allocation for tenured faculty is a function of individual performance, but research towards publications in top journals remains a priority at all ranks. Compensation is competitive and among the top in the Dutch universities. In addition, we provide guaranteed travel and starting research budgets.Tenure-track Assistant Professors will receive a 6-year contract, with tenure and promotion decisions made in year 5 (earlier evaluation is possible based on performance). • A position based on 1 fte.
• A salary of minimum € 4537 and maximum € 6209 gross per month for full-time employment, based on UFO profile Assistant Professor and salary scale 11. Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system based on relevant work experience.
• This is a vacancy for a Tenure Track position in accordance with Article 6.6 CLA DU. You will be given a temporary contract for the duration of 6 years.
• Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
• Over 8 weeks of vacation leave.
• The opportunity to work partly on campus and partly from home with a home office allowance of €2 per day.
