The University of Bradford is pleased to announce that the Bradford Soroptimist Housing Association are funding one scholarship worth £1,000.

This scholarship is available to current female students on STEM courses.

This is a one-off payment made at the end of May 2019.

Eligiblity

Female students based at the University of Bradford and registered on a full award programme in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Only courses in the following Faculties are eligible:

• Faculty of Life Sciences
• Faculty of Engineering and Informatics (not including courses in the school of Media, Design and Technology).

You can be Home, EU or International; undergraduate or postgraduate; full-time or part-time.  

Applicants must demonstrate that they are suffering hardship for reasons beyond their control, which have arisen since starting on the course and that other sources of support are not available.  You will be asked to provide any evidence that demonstrates that you are in financial hardship. 

Consideration will also be given to students who can demonstrate that they have worked hard to overcome any financial difficulties they have had and managed to remain on their course.   Again it would help the application if evidence can be provided.

Please be aware that you will need to submit a personal statement as part of your application outlining how the situation in your country has affected you and/or your family, the reasons why you want to come to Bradford and study your chosen programme and how you will use this qualification when you return to your country

Applications will be shortlisted, and the shortlisted candidates will be considered by a panel.

Successful applicants only will be informed via email by 18 May 2018. If you have not heard by this date then your application has not been successful.
