It facilitates co-operation among countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures to seek excellence in nuclear safety, technology, science, related environmental and economic matters and law. The mission of the NEA is to assist its 34 member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international co-operation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It strives to provide authoritative assessments and to forge common understandings on key issues as input to government decisions on nuclear technology policies.THE POSITIONThe NEA is looking for a dynamic and experienced Office Manager to support the Director-General and the Office of the Director-General (ODG) in implementing the Agency’s Programme of Work. The successful candidate will oversee the overall conduct of work of the Office of the Director-General including management of the agenda of the Director-General, coordinating inputs from across units and divisions at the NEA and assuring the effective planning for and implementation of missions involving the Director-General in coordination with other elements of the Agency. The successful candidate will serve as the coordinator of all NEA assistants in assuring good communications, cooperation, and high quality of work across the NEA and facilitating needed training and professional development. The successful candidate will welcome the challenge of working in a vibrant, fast-paced environment.
