Overview:

Our organization is undertaking a critical project to upgrade and migrate 12 TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) servers across 6 environments (2 redundant servers per environment) from version 5.13 to 5.15, and 12 TIBCO EMS servers from version 8.3 to either 10.3 (preferably) or 8.7. This initiative involves transitioning servers currently on Solaris OS to new installations on Linux, with one environment already on Linux but requiring upgrades to meet our current standards.

Due to the high-stakes nature of our government contract, we need an expert who can ensure near-zero downtime, high data interface quality, and robust operational continuity across all TIBCO services during and after the migration. Our systems are integral to government agency operations, interfacing through ~50-60 distinct BW engines reliant on extensive database-stored processes and internal messaging support for our EMS servers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration and upgrade of TIBCO BusinessWorks and EMS servers from Solaris to Linux, ensuring clean installations with minimal downtime.
• Analyze and replicate existing configurations, customizing them to ensure consistency and optimal performance on Linux.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to ensure all configurations and installations align with government uptime and data interface standards.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing for the internal team, facilitating their understanding of the new Linux-based infrastructure and TIBCO management.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on TIBCO BW, EMS, Hawk, and related TIBCO components to support both the technical and process-related aspects of the project.
• Engage directly with the agile development team to support a collaborative, learning-focused environment, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and continuity.

Required Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW), EMS, Hawk, and TIBCO Administrator on both Solaris and Linux operating systems.
• Installation & Migration Experience: Proven track record in migrating enterprise-scale TIBCO solutions from Solaris to Linux, with an emphasis on high-availability and data reliability.
• Government or High-Compliance Projects: Familiarity with the unique requirements of government contracts or similar high-compliance environments, including uptime, data accuracy, and seamless inter-environment communication.
• Mentorship Skills: Ability to work effectively with engaged, business-savvy teams, providing training, documentation, and support to empower internal team members during and post-migration.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Skilled in working with infrastructure, networking, and security teams, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• TIBCO Certification(s) in BW, EMS, or related technologies.
• Experience in agile development environments and collaborative team settings.
