This is an excellent opportunity for a well organised individual with excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to think logically to join the University Timetabling and Room Bookings Team. You will need to be competent at learning and using IT and data systems.
You will be using CMIS and CMISGo as well as the student records systems (Ellucian Banner suite) for which we will provide full training.
Each Timetabling Officer specialises in supporting one of the 4 faculties in the University as well as working as a team to ensure that workload is shared and leave is covered.
Your role will be to provide the timetabling service for your faculty. This will involve spending time in the faculty to learn about their teaching methods and patterns, working with academics to plan the timetables for the courses and collect accurate information to enter into CMIS, working to allocate students to teaching sets and working with the wider team to ensure that the university is able to timetable and room all teaching effectively.
This role is a good opportunity to start a career in H.E. and timetabling. Recent previous postholders have been successful in building their skills and experience in this role to enable them to achieve promotions to more challenging roles.
