Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading independent planning consultancy is expanding its team in Dublin and is looking for Planners at all levels – from Planner through to Director – to join their growing office.

With a strong presence across Ireland and the UK, this consultancy provides strategic, commercially focused planning advice across a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, residential, retail, commercial, healthcare, tourism, and leisure.

The Opportunity

Whether you’re an experienced Senior Planning Consultant or an ambitious Planning Consultant, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established consultancy and play a key role in delivering high-quality planning services.

About the Roles

Senior Planning Consultant

* A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited)
* 5+ years of postgraduate experience in Ireland
* Experience managing projects and leading planning applications and appeals

Planning Consultant

* A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited)
* 2-3 years of postgraduate experience in Ireland is desirable but not essential
* Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills

What We Are Looking For

Successful candidates will be responsible for managing projects, preparing planning applications and appeals, conducting research, and contributing to development strategies. You will play a key role in providing expert planning advice while working closely with clients and colleagues.

Applicants must be based in the Dublin office, but hybrid working arrangements are available. A driving license and access to a car are required.

Key Skills

* Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Excellent planning and organisational abilities
* Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
