With some recent acquisitions that have seen them grow dramatically – this mortgage servicing firm are now at a juncture where they need someone to come in and build out a Training function.This means bringing your expertise to bear on both design of training content & how it should be best delivered. You’ll also be hands on in delivering training with internal department leads.On the design side, you’ll work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various areas of the business.It rests with them to deliver the content of what needs to be learned. Your part will be in designing the content’s structure so that the learning experience is something staff can absorb – rather than it being too text-heavy in format for example.Your overarching goal is to make all training as interactive & learner friendly as possible – with any creativity you can bring in to achieve this being encouraged.Following on from that, you will be hands-on in delivering these training areas – each presented in conjunction with the SME on that area – in a sort of ‘dual coach’ approach.In this way, you’ll guide the SMEs towards a more actively engaged style in how training is delivered to staff in the spirit of ‘involve me and I learn’.Some sessions will be in person with others delivered via online seminars internally. Further to that, you will likely be designing a learning mix between live sessions and resources for learners to complete in their own time. That blend being up to you to design, tweak and develop.From a broader perspective, you’ll be formulating an annual plan for overall training ensuring the right delivery strategy to meet both operational & regulatory requirements.With an existing training framework and strategy in place you won’t be starting with a blank page. By the same token, you will have full scope to put your own stamp on how a programme of training should be designed and delivered.You will be standing up the function from the ground up with your own vision and ideas of what will work best being central.Requirements for this Role

• Experienced training manager with strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills that enable you to work with colleagues at all levels of Mars Capital.

• A proven track record of training program content design, development, delivery & management.

• An in-depth understanding of training needs and opportunities in relation to Financial Services.

• Some knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Mars Capital operates.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
