The Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC; LCTC – Home) is a leading UK clinical trials unit and methodological research group holding full registration status within the UK Clinical Research Collaboration Clinical Trials Unit network. We are based in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool and we work with the NHS and commercial partners, patients and the public to contribute to the identification and evaluation of new and innovative treatments and devices.
LCTC have secured a number of research awards and are offering superb career opportunities for motivated and enthusiastic individuals wishing to develop expertise in clinical trial project management. These new opportunities are available across our portfolio of paediatric, cancer and mental health clinical trials and involve CTIMP interventions.
As a trial manager in LCTC you will be responsible for the day-to day management of the trials in accordance with trial protocols and procedures developed according to the relevant ethical, regulatory and governance frameworks and the principles of Good Clinical Practice. You will be responsible for all aspects of trial coordination to ensure that the study is conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards, to time and within budget.
You should have a Degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience), will be accountable to the Director of the LCTC, and will work under the supervision of the Senior or Supervising Trials Manager, who will provide overall trial management and mentorship. Professional development will be supported and appropriate training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available and working remotely and long distance will be facilitated with travel to Liverpool office bases as required. Appointments will be at least one year tenure in the first instance. Office bases for these posts are at the University of Liverpool Campus or Alder Hey Institute in the Park.
