We have gone from 7 to 14 volunteers in six months – join us on our path towards a store with lots of volunteers and become part of a wonderful local volunteer environment in Brønshøj/Husum.Our store here in Brønshøj/Husum has been undergoing rapid development over the past six months. We moved from some very old premises to newly renovated ones with lots of air, space and possibilities.Our roster has been constantly expanding, and now we have a vacancy – and we would love to have you on the team!It is every Thursday from 10:00 to 12:00 – a morning shift, where you are responsible for operating the cash register, in addition to the other practical tasks in the store. You will be on a permanent team with one or more other volunteers from our store – but we make sure to meet cross-functionally to the extent we can, with P-meetings, social events, and ongoing events in the organization, where you will also meet other volunteers from the over 230 stores nationwide.As I said – in terms of time, it’s actually limited to two hours a week, so it’s fairly straightforward – and then the day is just about done.We will of course make sure that you are welcomed and taught according to all the rules of the art until you feel you have it under control and can take it further from there. We are also on social media (Facebook: Kirkens Korshær Genbrug Brønshøj/Husum, and Instagram: kirkenskorshaer_broenshoej) where we try to start being active so that you can follow our committee and our daily lives.As long as you are over 18 years old and have the courage to try your hand at being part of the team in a store like this, then everything is fine 🙂We are involved because we really enjoy having a fixed point of reference during the week, but also seeing that the profits go to vulnerable people and families in Denmark who do not have what the rest of us take for granted. AND at the same time we make a contribution to the green choice and sustainability by ensuring that we give new life to what deserves it.
