About the Role

The post holder will be responsible for providing professional support for the implementation of the School’s UG student engagement, retention and success strategies. The post holder is a key member of the School’s UG Administration Team and acts as Secretary to the School’s UG Staff/Student Liaison Committee and the Undergraduate Student Experience Committee, working closely with the UG Senior Tutor.

About You

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or have equivalent experience, with experience of working effectively with students and administration within Higher Education. You will have a high level of interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships and communicate using a range of media. You will also be able to work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive/ confidential issues and be able to respond to students in an empathetic and professional manner. You will also have an ability to work independently, using own initiative, to organise and prioritise a significant number of varying demands.  

About the School

The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with other Schools. The School has over 800 undergraduate students.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent post, with an expected start date as soon as possible. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,165 – £44,722 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Please note that we advertise our salaries on a range to indicate the trajectory of progression that can be made. Appointments are usually made at the start of the salary range.
