This role is a hybrid role and reports to the Credit Supervisor.Main Duties:Underwriting of businesses applying for Card Payments facilitiesAssessment / evaluation of feasibility of merchant’s business models in the POS (Point-of-Sale), MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) and ECOM (E-Commerce) environment including the inherent risks related to card acceptance/acquiringPerformance of financial analysis based on financial statements and forecastAssessment of business models in the context of due diligence and compliance with the guidelines of the payment institutionsAssess and interpret Credit Bureau ReportsVerification that ECOM websites fulfil card scheme’s requirements (card due diligence)In line with granted credit authority, approval of merchant applications based on the risk assessment including the definition of required collateralsCommunicate with sales channels and partners regarding new applicationsProactively monitoring of the Merchant PortfolioVerification of adherence to compliance requirements and credit guidelinesPeriodic credit reviewing of the portfolioParticipation in training of partners and merchants on risk management processesCalculation of reserves/collaterals based on credit exposureWork in close collaboration with wider Credit Team Members in other Global Payments locations (including Leicester, England & Manila, Philippines)Professional and Personal Requirements:Minimum 1 years’ experience in a credit environment or similar positionStrong underwriting skillsExperience in Acquiring / Cards industry (including an understanding of chargeback risk) preferredFamiliar with KYC (Know Your Client) and AML (Anti Money Laundering) proceduresGood underwriting and analytical thinking skills with a high level of accuracyConfident manner and good communication skills (both verbal & written)Able to work well under pressureEfficient and responsible way of workingFast learner and highly productive ensuring work streams are completed quickly and effectivelyLanguages –English, fluentGlobal Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.Global Payments provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other basis protected by law.
