Art & Design Foundation Studies

0.5 FTE contract / 2.5 days per week

This excellent international and national reputation in Art and Design is the result of the sustained high-quality research and teaching of its well-established and dedicated team. The Foundation programme has developed many professional and academic associations with the Creative Industries via external projects, industry links, staff research, exhibitions and work placements.

We are looking for a Visual Communications practitioner with the ability to teach creative practice, ideally with experience, awareness and knowledge in the teaching and development of Graphic design/Illustration/branding/typography/motion Graphics to work collegiately with our head of Visual Communication (VC) to support students in our VC pathway within the Foundation team.

This is a practical hands-on teaching role developing Art & Design, drawing, materials exploration, and creative thinking skills in a studio and workshop-based environment.

The teaching identified for this post is related to Art and Design at Foundation FE Level where a PGCE qualification is beneficial and preferred.
