About RE:LABAt RE:LAB, we shape the way people interact with technology.Founded in 2004, we’re a multidisciplinary organization that brings together expertise in interaction design, software engineering, 2D/3D modeling, ergonomics, human factors research, visual communication, and artificial intelligence.We specialize in the design, development, and evaluation of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).Our mission?To ensure that machines serve people—not the other way around.We focus on creating intuitive, safe, and meaningful experiences across visual, vocal, physical, and gestural interactions.User experience is not just a goal: it’s our mindset.We blend creativity and technical expertise to support global clients in the automotive, industrial, and consumer sectors—helping their products stand out through innovation and usability.At RE:LAB, we believe that good design improves life.That’s why we put people at the center of everything we do.We are looking for a profile to join our Research & Development team with a focus on User Experience, Human Factors, and Cognitive Ergonomics.The selected candidate will work on projects involving Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design in complex environments, contributing to user research activities, interaction evaluation, and UX design support.This position is intended for someone with a strong academic background in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or related fields, with experience or a clear interest in applying these skills to interactive system design.Main responsibilities

• Planning and conducting user studies (interviews, observations, usability testing)
• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to support UX design decisions
• Supporting the definition of cognitive and functional requirements for interactive systems
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers and developers to optimize the user experience
• Preparing research documentation and presenting findings

• Master’s degree or PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Ergonomics, or similar fields
• Basic knowledge of UX research and usability evaluation methods
• Interest in human-machine interaction and user-centered design
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in HMI or high-complexity technology environments
• Familiarity with prototyping and design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)
• Understanding of evidence-based approaches to design
