VAT Senior ManagerSouthampton | Up to £84,500A highly respected advisory and accountancy firm is seeking an accomplished VAT professional to step into a leadership position within their growing Indirect Tax team. The Role in Focus

• Provide expert input on complex VAT issues, including international transactions, structuring, land and property matters, and partial exemption.
• Lead client engagements, taking full ownership of project delivery and communication.
• Offer strategic insights to support clients in achieving their commercial objectives while remaining compliant.
• Drive business development efforts, contributing to proposals, networking initiatives, and internal collaboration across service lines.
• Stay ahead of regulatory developments, translating changes into client opportunities or risk mitigation strategies.

• Take responsibility for financial performance and resource planning within your area.
• Support the continued growth and development of the indirect tax practice by contributing to firmwide initiatives and leadership forums.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong academic background and a professional tax qualification such as CTA and/or accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA), or equivalent experience.
• Significant post-qualified experience in VAT advisory, ideally within a practice environment.
• Demonstrable success in managing a portfolio of clients, delivering technical excellence and commercial insight.
• Proven ability to develop business, build lasting client relationships, and represent the firm externally.
• A strategic mindset and confidence in leading, coaching, and influencing others.
• Practical experience of overseeing complex technical projects and managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
