You have proven experience in managing software teams working on large-scale, distributed systems and are comfortable driving complex projects from design through implementation. Your background in software architecture, C#, C++, and Java, paired with hands-on experience in CI/CD environments, cybersecurity, and high-performance systems, allows you to guide your team through challenges with confidence.You thrive in dynamic environments and excel in prioritizing work, ensuring product quality, and aligning development strategies with the broader business vision. • Lead and manage software development teams comprised of full stacks developers, backend and frontend engineers
• Prioritize the work backlog for your team based on input from product management
• Provide technical and process guidance to team members as needed
• Find and help enable paths for professional growth for team members
• Participate in the weekly R&D meetings where other team leads and product managers discuss project status
• Ensure product quality, reliability, and performance
• Define and execute software development strategies
• Implement and adhere to best practices in all aspects of the firmware development process including branching strategy, code quality, continuous integration, etc
• Drive the code architectural choices to guarantee high performance and maximum reuse
• Incorporate requirements from other external stakeholders into development roadmap

Hard Skills

• Previous experience managing software teams
• You’ve worked with complex, large-scale systems, ideally in a distributed architecture, and have experience with backend services and real-time data processing.
• Background in software architecture and design
• Strong software design skills for complicated architectures of distributed and scalable systems
• Deep understanding of C#, C++, Java
• Cybersecurity
• Ability to lead development processes from requirements through design, implementation and testing
• Experience in setting up CI/CD environments, experience with docker, Kubernetes,
• Understanding and preferably experience with implementing quality management systems (ISO, (A)SPICE,…)
• Experience in building web applications
• Experience with developing servers and infrastructures
• Experience with multi-threaded programming in high performance systems
• Experience with video and audio streaming over IP – Advantage
• Experience with cloud architecture – Advantage
• Experience with network and cyber security – Advantage
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, RESTful Web Services – Advantage
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus.
