Suffolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s nature charity – protecting and restoring Suffolk’s wildlife. We are in no doubt that to achieve our ambition to bring nature back, we need nature and climate to be part of everyday life and decision-making for everyone.

Carlton Marshes, on the western fringe of Lowestoft, is a magnificent water-filled landscape
with a fantastic visitor centre. Our work here is transforming the southern borders of the UK’s
most nature-rich areas into a spectacular year-round destination for nature-based recreation,
learning and play – a gateway to the Broads National Park that local people are proud of.

Unparalleled opportunities to get close-up to wildlife, brought to life by a landmark visitor
centre, makes Carlton one of the most accessible nature experiences in East Anglia.

We are looking for a team player with excellent people skills to be our visitor facing welcome
host on a daily basis.

You will work with the team to ensure a welcoming and high quality visitor experience for a
range of audiences. Income generation is another focus and you will be expected to recruit new
members and oversee the retail aspects of the centre. Supporting and co-ordinating our
wonderful team of volunteers with be another of your responsibilities.
