Would you like to contribute to a sustainable future by helping us to become more water efficient and to explore where water can be reused or recycled across our factory?Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories, including bakery, beverages, dairy as well as infant and sport nutrition. You will join AFI at our protein production site Danmark Protein in Nr.Vium, where we have an ambitious plan to take lead on sustainability.How you will make an impactAs part of our Production Technology Development team, you will be welcomed by 28 cross-functional colleagues driving continuous improvement and implementation of new products across the value chain.Teaming up with our 3 other specialists within energy and water, your goal will be to define, calculate and shape water optimisation projects with the aim to minimize our factory’s consumption of water, waste and waste water in line with our local and global EHS agenda. You will also be the expert that is consulted in other investment projects to make sure that we are implementing the best water design.Your tasks will be to:

• Work closely with our global sustainability manager to be sure that we plan and reach our site 2030 water ambition plan. This includes communication to internal and external stakeholders
• Analyze water and waste water consumers and set up measures to improve water management
• Work closely with the production and our internal utility supply team to identify new opportunities for optimisations
• Collect and analyse data to build a business case on potential savings and environmental value
• Present business cases to management to secure a budget and initiate the project
• Contribute to other on-site projects by analysing water consumption impact

Who are you?We imagine that you are a recent graduate in Water and Environment Engineering, Environmental and Resource management, marine engineer or within a field related to environment, dairy or food processes- or that you have work experience within those fields.

• Have experience with concepts related to water and environment
• Know how to carry out complex analyses and calculations
• Possess great project management skills – meaning you are organized and know how to plan and execute initiatives in coordination with others
• Communicate effortlessly in Danish and English
