The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer (Education) in Clinical Restorative Dentistry.
This post will strengthen the clinical and academic base of Restorative Dentistry within the Centre for Dentistry. The successful candidate will deliver significant teaching in Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry at undergraduate level, engage in scholarly activity and contribute to Centre’s administration/outreach activity.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- BDS (or equivalent).
- Current, full Registration with the GDC.
- Relevant scholarly or research publications, including some that are peer-reviewed, contributing to the conceptual and/or practical development of dental education or dental research.
- Relevant experience of presenting at national conferences.
- Relevant teaching experience at University Level, including the clinical supervision of undergraduate students treating patients in Restorative Dentistry.
- Ability to inspire dental students to achieve their best.
- Relevant academic administrative/management experience.
- Significant clinical experience in Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry.

This post is available for a fixed term period of 18 months. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
