Department of Psychology, Criminology & Humanistic Counselling
Maternity Cover (up to one-year fixed term contract) – 0.6 FTE
Part-time: 22.2 hours per week
Salary range: £25,138 to £26,444 per annum pro rata, £15,082 to £15,866 per annum
About this role
Sitting within the Psychology, Criminology and Humanistic Counselling team, the Department Administrator role will be at the heart of a vibrant and busy department. Based at the Chichester campus you will provide efficient, effective and professional administrative support to the staff, students and other stakeholders in the Department, to enhance administrative processes and the staff and student experience.
About you
You will demonstrate a broad knowledge of administrative practices and processes that support the delivery of a professional, customer focused service. You will have a good standard of education with a high level of literacy and numeracy and knowledge of administrative systems. You will demonstrate outstanding accuracy and attention to detail and will have experience of working in a busy environment, working to tight deadlines. Demonstrable knowledge of maintaining and reviewing administrative systems is essential as well as being prepared to learn new and innovative systems.
The ability to build good rapport and relationships quickly is a must, as well as the ability to service formal meetings, including minute taking.
