Job Highlights

• Establish technical designs to meet business and technical requirements as a prime data visualization and analytics lead
• Act as a technical leader of all Data visualization activities within the project team including technical design and delivery of the solution
• Guide and mentor junior data visualization and analytics engineers on both technical (architecture, design, troubleshooting, etc.) and non-technical topics (best practices, culture, career options, etc.)
• Utilize statistical methods and data analysis techniques to uncover valuable insights from large and complex datasets
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and web applications that enable end-users to interact with and visualize data in an intuitive and user-friendly manner
• Work collaboratively with data engineers and data scientists to integrate data from various sources into analytical applications
• Ensure understandability, useability and user-friendliness of visual analytics solutions by proa-actively implementing design best practices and challenging user-requirements
• Build, test, validate and demonstrate analytical models
• Support global, enterprise-class systems, regarding ITIL/ITSM processes/practices
• Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives, incidents and service requests while adapting to changing business conditions

Who You Are

You are a Data Visualization and Analytics Lead with expertise in statistical methods and experience in the design, development and delivery of interactive analytic solutions using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Dash, R-Shiny, etc. You enjoy mentoring more junior team members and watching them grow, both in their technical and non-technical competencies. You tell stories with data, bridging the gap using user-centered design and cutting-edge technologies, you aspire to make data-driven design decisions, and above all, you want to be involved in using data to create beautiful stories that matter.

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications

• Customer focus – dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, strong bias for action and results
• Team mentoring – play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring our team of talented data visualization and analytics engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions
• Understand and apply the principles of visual display of information
• Desires to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team with a proven ability to influence
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare data is a plus

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or similar field
• Must have
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g. ggplot2, plotly)
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages for developing analytic applications
  • D3.js, React/Vue/Svelte, R/R-Shiny, Python (Bokeh, Dash, Streamlit), etc.
• Experience in Agile development processes and DevOps methodology/principals
• Ability to connect to data sources (internal and external), import data, and transform data
• Ability to implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models within Power BI
• Familiarity with DAX queries
• Expertise in advanced-level calculations on data sets
• Working knowledge of Power shell or other scripting languages
• Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS/Azure)
