The Hybrid Account Manager role is to effectively develop and increase sales volume and revenue bringing together account management skills along with clinical support and training. Promoting clinical efficiencies through our Cardinal Health portfolio of products to both existing and new customers, whilst maintaining strong customer relations.
There is a strong element of Clinical Training required in the role along with selling, it’s a dual role which gives you a real mix of different skill sets and duties. The role requires a driven and enthusiastic individual who wants to work in a fast-paced environment with a mixture of sales and clinical.
They must proactively seek to represent Cardinal Health to all key stakeholders at both local NHS and private hospital levels. The key stakeholders will be at clinician (consultant and nurse), procurement and budget holder level. Internal stakeholders of Cardinal Health will be critical to the success of the role, working alongside local Account Manager’s / Clinical Specialists and the Regional Sales Manager.
They must ensure that they act with integrity and ethics and take every opportunity to promote the organization, it’s values and increase it’s standing within the market.
This hybrid role involves spending two days a week on Clinical Education and Implementation and three days a week on Account Management based on business needs.
Experience:
- Proven, consistent and successful medical devices sales/training and/or Account Management skills.
- Ability to learn and understand complex clinical product knowledge and clinical data.
- Must be self-motivated to drive ideas and develop business opportunities.
- Used to working independently with high competency in time management.
- Able to build and maintain strong business and customer relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound presentation skills to educate and demonstrate products to a variety of clinical audiences.
- An understanding of the NHS purchasing structure.
- Must be able to demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office packages and CRM systems.
- Promoting and where required support clinical study days, exhibitions, and workshops on and off the territory as agreed with the manager.
Education:
- Nursing or clinical education or degree level in relevant subject.
- 2+ years experience in sales preferred but not essential
- Computer IT literate – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM.
- Full current UK driving license.
- UK work permit/visa.
