Grade: Research Grade 7 (£38,273 – £40,543 per annum)

Responsible to:  Principal Investigator

Campus: Derry~Londonderry

(Fixed-Term until 31st March 2025 / Full-Time)

Job Purpose:

The post holder will work as part of a team involving Ulster University and Queens University Belfast and be responsible for engaging researchers from multiple disciplines with the Northern Ireland High Performance Computing (NI-HPC) facility https://www.ni-hpc.ac.uk/.  The NI-HPC Centre hosts the Kelvin-2 Tier-2 facility funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).  

The post holder will work with researchers to gain a clear understanding of their research challenges, help them design HPC software, and provide necessary support on deploying existing code bases and simulations onto HPC.
