Do you consider yourself to be a motivating leader? Can you provide professional, strategic and operational management at one of the UK’s top 10 universities?
We are looking for an experienced manager to provide strategic leadership for Professional Services operations and resources in the Faculty of Health and Medicine and its three divisions: Biomedical Life Sciences, Health Research and Lancaster Medical School.
The Faculty of Health and Medicine’s multidisciplinary approach develops and delivers high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Research activity is integral to the faculty. We pride ourselves on the real-world impact of our research and its practical applications in areas that touch many people’s lives including ageing and palliative care, infectious disease, and mental health.
This is a demanding but rewarding role at a civic university. Your responsibilities will encompass effective organisational excellence, administration, governance and planning and policy development and implementation.
As Head of Faculty Operations, we want someone who can use their excellent communication skills and experience in resource management to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels within the faculty and across the University, and our external partners to ensure we continue to deliver high quality services to our students and staff and help grow the reputation of Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine.
The Faculty strongly supports the individual needs of our employees, promoting a healthy work-life balance. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis. We are proud of our Silver Athena Swan Chartermark, which recognises and celebrates good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education.
