Casual Lodge Receptionist / Porter

Salary: £11.35 per hour

Nuffield College seeks to appoint a Casual Lodge Receptionist/Porter for its Lodge Department. This is a great opportunity to join our Lodge team and assist in the smooth running of the Lodge. As a Casual Lodge Receptionist/Porter you will be the first point of contact to those who visit, study, or work in the College. Tasks include answering the phone and responding to emails, dealing with incoming and outgoing post, assisting with contractor management, guestroom bookings, as well as creating signs for events. You will also be responsible for understanding the College’s emergency procedures and act in the event of an emergency, respond to fire, intruder and critical alarms, monitor CCTV, and keep accurate key records.   

We are looking for an individual with strong administrative and interpersonal skills who can support the Lodge during busy periods and cover the team’s holiday’s absence.

Flexibility is key for this role as shifts may change and evening and weekend work will be required depending on business needs. Although full training will be provided, previous experience in a customer-facing role and strong IT skills are essential.
