Devon Resilience Innovation Project (DRIP)
£30k 0.8 FTE Post runs to March 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Biosphere team and work
in partnership on this established project.
We are looking for an experienced Land Management Advisor to lead the Devon Resilience Project
and to build on the flourishing work that is already taking place across the catchment area.

DRIP Project 24-25 Specification
Admin
- Keep a record of all project activity.
- Keep all DCC spreadsheets and outputs up to date.
- Support landowners with DRIP application forms
- Draft agreement letters with landowners
- Attend wider DRIP board meetings, Work Package 1 and Work Package 1c meetings.
- Complete Options Reports as and when required.
- Engagement activities with landowners and the community where necessary
- Support catchment-wide engagement activities
- Support through chairing/secretariat role for the Little Dart Projects Group with
Stakeholders and the Environment Agency - Continue to support development of and finalise a Flood Warning System through the SMART
Biosphere network- Organise calibration of the sensors and ratings of the stream for flow measurements
- Bi-weekly progress meetings with Watr as their project contact
- Support Watr in the installation of sensors
- Support Biosphere programme developer as the link between the catchment, Watr and
the Mendix/Mindsphere (Insights)
- To adapt to the innovation of the project and create new work streams when necessary.
- To liaise with the EA NFM/NBS teams as key stakeholders for their knowledge and previous
experience.
Little Dart DRIP Project 24-25 – Land Advisor
- Engage the landowners and the community in the area where needed for the
installation/maintenance of the SMART Biosphere sensor network.- Liaise with DCC comms team/personnel.

Collaboration with DWT and other organisations and projects on types of NFM measures that will
be installed / advised. -
Engage with landowners on the installation of NFM measures – site visits and reports.
- Support with DRIP project funding
- Support with EWCO/MOREwoods/SFI/CS applications
- Support with contractors and procurement where required.
Combe Martin DRIP Project 24-25 – Land Advisor
- Engage the landowners and the community in the area where needed for the
installation/maintenance of the SMART Biosphere sensor network.- Liaise with DCC comms team/personnel.

Liaise with the DCC Historic Environment Team as a result of their Feasibility Study for catch
meadow restoration following three types of strategic designs regarding consents. - Liaise with contractors for the construction of the catch meadows.

Engage with landowners on the installation of NFM measures – site visits and advisory
reporting. - Provide follow on support to landowners to design construction issues and maintain relationship
