That’s why our role is offered on a hybrid working basis to offer you a great work/life balance, working remotely and attending our Skipton office twice per month. So, if you’re looking for a position where you can fully embrace the coaching side of being a Scrum Master, this is the one for you.A role you will loveAs one of our Scrum Masters, you will be working as part of our cross-functional teams who support the development of our CLS business.You will work alongside our talented teams to promote Agile ways of working, and support them to understand the theory, practices, rules, and values. You will support the team being a true Scrum Servant, helping them when they need it, and guide them through their sprints through effective facilitation of the Scrum events to allow them to maximise value delivery, and work together to make decisions.As a true leader, encourage the team to be self-aware and create a learning culture to help individuals and the team adopt a mindset that enables them to take the next steps on their agile journey to use Scrum well.Some other key responsibilities:

  • As a True Leader, guide the team towards self- management and self-organisation and build a collaborative culture that embraces problem solving, healthy tension and feedback.
  • Create an environment for the team to experiment and learn – makes room for failure.
  • Facilitates scrum events to be purposeful, effective and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Support the wider organisation to understand and work effectively with agile development teams
  • Keep Up to Date with emerging practices and ideas to be able to propose improvement and innovation that would extend the impact of agile practices & principles throughout the organisation

What will you bring to the role?As you’ve probably gathered by now, we are looking for somebody with a real passion for Agile and will have the ability to bring people together to work collaboratively, work through tough conversations and get them to get to the best outcome. You will be experienced in guiding other people to deliver and be able to step out of the limelight so that others can feel empowered to succeed.Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Experience as a Scrum Master within cross-functional agile teams.
  • In-depth knowledge and application of agile principles and practices.
  • Experience of supporting distributed teams.
  • Skills and knowledge of true leadership, coaching, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and empowerment.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Servant leadership and coaching experience
  • Passionate about agile principles for software delivery and associated practices.
