Do you want to join a rapidly expanding, forward thinking and agile organisation that provides an opportunity to grow together?If you have ambitions to play a key part in driving our business forwards, then we want you to join us at an exciting time of development and growth to realise your full potential.Here at BJF, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our exciting and expanding construction biased business, where YOU can help support the FM division as a mechanical project manager.Working with a large portfolio of public and private sector clients, our UK based organisation comprises of several divisions including Mechanical & Electrical, Construction, Projects, Reactive, FM, Small Works and other associated trades.BJF Group’s M&E division is growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering design & build projects up to £2 million on both new build and refurbishment projects. Responsible for the ‘life cycle’ management of the project, the successful candidate shall manage all aspects of the design, procurement, installation and commissioning phases through to project completion and handover.The successful candidate shall be required to work from our offices in Maidstone Kent periodically, but the role is largely a remote based role working from home and on site.
- Management of the project phase from design to completion.
- Site Surveys & estimating.
- Customer liaison and dispute resolution.
- Liaison with contractors, consultants and subcontractors to ensure the successful project delivery.
- Develop project plans to include preparation of the project programme.
- Preparation of progress and commercial reports.
- Purchase order and supplier requisitions.
- Project Adjudication to determine best value and compliance.
- Contract variation’ and securing of site instructions.
- Technical submittals and updating of registers.
- Value engineering
- Prepare procurement schedules.
- Attend project meetings, prepare minutes and follow up actions.
- Application for payment and invoicing.
- Subcontractor/supplier payments & payment certificates.
- Cost control, project expenditure, payment schedules.
- Minimum of 3 years industry related contracting and project management experience.
- OND/HND/DEGREE Building Services/Mechanical or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Project management qualification or proven track history.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- CSCS Card Holder
- Full UK driving license
