We drive real environmental change by leveraging the power of real-time data with cleantech technologies.Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our team! This is an important full-time position for the right candidate based in South Wales with the expectation that travel will be required as needed and regular attendance at the Traffic Technology head office in Neath and other locations is expected.The Electronics Technician will be an experienced engineer with a tech-savvy self-driven individual with an HNC/HND/NVQ or equivalent in Electronics or related fields and a passion for making devices, with adequate experience of working on tasks towards new development of embedded and edge computing electronics products.Role & Responsibilities:
- Building, testing, and configuring AQM, Edge Computing, LiDAR, and Camera based products.
- Contribution to routine management of the Vortex workshop and labs for prototyping and testing
- Contribute to the analysis of trends, spot issues in operation and look for opportunities to define new and improve existing processes.
- Work across R&D, Production/Assembly, Delivery and Deployment teams to ensure scalability of service offer and capacity.
- Working in harmony with the agile development methodology by actioning task tickets for the technical team providing tangible feedback to these tickets via daily standup updates and weekly scrum meetings.

- Own or contribute to, delivery of specific projects when they arise including for example, tricky or complex new business delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum qualification for this post would be HNC/HND/NVQ or equivalent in Electronics / Electrical / Computer Sciences or related fields, and a degree or higher qualification in these fields are also welcome.
- A comprehensive understanding of computer hardware, Linux, and Windows OS
- Good understanding on MS Office Application Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and industrial/project experience for cabling, connections, hardware prototyping, test, and measurement equipment
- familiar with applying concepts of Computer Networks, Communication Protocols, Network Configuration with Windows and Linux platforms and Low-power RF Networks such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread etc.
