• Have fluent knowledge of Italian and experience in teaching Italian, level A1 – C1, at higher education centers; at least five years of documented teaching experience.
• Have a sufficient command of the Polish language to communicate in the academic environment.
• Have knowledge of English at a level of at least B1.
• The search committee will also consider the following additional criteria related to the teaching needs of the Department of Italian Studies, as well as the needs of the Institute of Romance Studies: (1) training teachers of Romance languages – teaching experience of Italian language in secondary education, experience as a tutor of student internships, experience in teaching Italian language methodology and readiness to conduct classes in the field of teaching Italian as a foreign language; (2) training of Italian language translators – linguistic and substantive competences and readiness to conduct translation classes (especially specialized translation) in a language Italian to Polish.

Responsibilities * Conducting classes and administrative work related to the implementation and organization of the teaching process in the scope and dimension envisaged for the position of senior lecturer in accordance with the current internal normative acts of the University of Wrocław.

• Performing other tasks and activities related to the implementation and organization of the teaching process indicated by the Director of the Institute of Romance Studies or the head of the Department of Italian Studies, in particular: acting as a tutor of student groups, acting as a secretary of the admissions committee, participating in the organization of exams, etc.
• Popularizing activities, including participation in promotional campaigns of the University of Wrocław and their organization.
• Observing the provisions of copyright and related rights in teaching, scientific and creative activity.
