You will lead change and transformation initiatives within our Change Portfolio, supporting our function objectives and overall strategy.The Project Manager will be required to; successfully plan, execute, communicate and deliver projects while ensuring they meet their specific goals, objectives, and constraints. The project manager plays a crucial role in leading ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives across change, growth and transformation.Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and objectives: The project manager works with stakeholders to clearly define the scope and objectives of the project, outlining what needs to be accomplished and the desired outcomes.
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan: The project manager creates a detailed plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones required to complete the project efficiently. Appling project management methodologies ranging from classic waterfall to agile as required
  • Manage resources: The project manager allocates resources and budget, effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Assess the change impact: Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Risk management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them is a crucial part of a project manager’s role.
  • Monitor and control progress: Throughout the project’s lifecycle, the project manager monitors the progress, tracks performance against the plan, and takes corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Quality assurance: The project manager ensures that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Stakeholder management: Managing stakeholders’ expectations and keeping them engaged throughout the project is essential for successful project outcomes.
  • Conflict resolution: Addressing conflicts and challenges that arise within the project team or with stakeholders is a key responsibility of the project manager. Escalating and reporting issues appropriately.
  • Project closure and evaluation: When the project is completed, the project manager wraps up all the loose ends, conducts a project review, and documents lessons learned for future improvements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Substantial proven Insurance Industry knowledge and experience and knowledge of the London Market
  • Proven experience managing complex business, change and/or transformational projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, accommodate multiple priorities, and be adaptive to change
  • Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance across Insurance
  • Proven understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)
  • Proven team leadership skills and ability to make decisions
  • Clear communicator with strong presenting skills
  • Ability to comfortably switch between big picture and detail
  • Achieve and communicate clarity where others see complexity
  • Ability to think outside of the box
  • Ability to show resilience and ability to manage and adapt to business change
  • Logical thinker, able to actively solutionise problems
  • Thrives when working in an environment where change is constant
  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques and processes
