Salary Range: $15.03 to 16.75 per hour

Position Summary:
Library Assistant, Circulation Clerk
Oversees Talking Books Circulation
Checks out books and magazines on digital book cartridges to Kansas Talking Books patrons. Checks in incoming cartridges. Runs reports to identify errors in daily circulation process.
Prepares cases and cartridges for reuse to ensure adequate supply of materials to meet circulation demands.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalend (GED).
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with coworkers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills needed to analyze and resolve situations.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement within framework of existing policy and procedure.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements:
State of Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate. The successful applicant (even non-residents) must obtain a valid Kansas Certificate of Tax Clearance by accessing the Kansas Department of Revenue’s website within 10 days of the date the applicant has been offered the employment position.
