As AI Architect / AI Research Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Nokia Standards AI & Data practice, applying the latest advances in machine learning and data science to make 6G networks “AI-native”. You will join a high-performance global team committed to driving continuous improvement and world-class innovation in networking research.

You will focus on developing and delivering world-class AI-based solutions for the next-generation 6G network. In this role, you will be instrumental in bringing our AI research and innovation to the next level, ensuring best-in-class performance by creating innovative AI solutions in a hands-on manner.

What you will learn and contribute to 

  • Shape the future of communication networks by demonstrating innovative solutions enabled by advanced machine learning solutions
  • Create highly capable ML solutions by utilizing advanced machine learning algorithms, generative AI and data platforms with state-of-the-art computing infrastructure
  • Create high-value innovations and inventions in a dynamic industry and ensure the competitiveness of Nokia future network technologies
  • Work in close collaboration with our data, cloud and system engineers to design and continuously upgrade/update industry-reference “AI and Data Playgrounds”
  • Apply and expand your knowledge by identifying and developing new approaches for network digital twins, network sensing, AI/ML for networks
  • Contribute to future networks and 6G in world leading standardization organizations like IETF, ETSI, 3GPP, leading open-source projects (Linux Foundation Networking), hackathons, etc.
  • Learn from the best in the industry about cutting-edge communication network technologies

 

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • A master’s degree or PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, telecommunications or a related field
  • Three or more years of experience in engineering or applied research with focus on the design, optimization and validation of novel AI and data-driven solutions, in industry or academia 
  • Deep knowledge of the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Very good understanding and hands-on experience with the latest machine learning techniques and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Ability to transform demands from business and operation into proven and robust solutions having AI in the core
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient AI systems, including knowledge of cloud computing platforms, distributed computing, and big data technologies
  • Good knowledge of data frameworks, data pipelines, data analysis, algorithms and statistical modelling and analysis
  • Proficiency in evaluating concepts and solutions by means of simulations or analytical methods
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or C++
  • Very good understanding of networking technologies and preferably specialist in a sub-field of networking (wireless networks, IP networks…)
  • Excellent team working capabilities across experts located in different parts of the world

 

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Good level of proficiency in system and software engineering
  • Knowledge, know-how in synthetic data generation techniques
  • Knowledge, know-how in data quality frameworks and data quality assessment
  • Knowledge on graph modeling, graph databases and technologies, semantic graphs
  • Knowledge of network telemetry techniques and data collection protocols
  • Observability frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of standards specifications and practices from different standardization bodies

 

You are autonomous, proactive, and collaborative. You like to solve complex problems with elegant solutions using your ingenuity and teamwork.
