Offer DescriptionWe are looking for an excellent, enthusiastic and self-motivated early-career researcher to join our research team and to develop different redox-active and cytotoxic metal complexes for cancer therapy.The PhD candidate will:– Synthesize and characterize different ligands and their metal complexes– Study the redox behavior of the complexes under different biologically relevant conditions– Study cytotoxic properties in vitro and in cellulo (different relevant cancer models)– Fine-tune ligands to enhance cytotoxic activityRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry » Inorganic chemistry Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsThe PhD candidate should have:

  • a Master’s degree in Chemistry or related fields with good academic grades
  • strong interest and ability to work at the interface of chemistry and biology (interdisciplinary approaches)
  • expertise in coordination chemistry, organic chemistry and molecular electrochemistry would be appreciated
