Our opportunity is based at the Chartres production site.
Our Department
As part of the “Fill and Finish Expansions” project, you will report to the Quality Assurance entity, which manages Novo Nordisk’s entire portfolio of investment projects. You will play a key role in the Chartres site expansion project, which aims to double production capacity by 2028-2030 to provide innovative treatments to a growing number of patients.
Role
- Performance management
Ensuring effective and relevant monitoring of the department’s objectives, deliverables and performance results.
Ensuring that the department’s objectives, missions and deliverables are met in terms of quantity, deadlines, costs, quality and safety
Develop a collaborative mindset and consistency between services/departments
Ensure that the department’s deliverables comply with current regulations (GMP, labour regulations, corporate guidelines, ISO, etc.)
Sharing expertise, benchmarking, innovation and strategic vision with direct reports
Set up the necessary indicators to identify and resolve any process variations or deviations
Helping with decision-making and challenging to resolve complex problems in the department’s relevant activities (clarification, managing discrepancies)
Supporting and developing the implementation of the continuous improvement process and ensuring that it is embedded in the teams
- Coaching / Giving direction
Implement the department’s overall strategy, defined with the Director, in line with the site’s objectives
Support direct reports in defining KPIs (key performance indicators) and operational objectives
Coaching and developing the managerial skills of 1st line leaders (confirmation process, coaching, follow-up) or coaching and developing the skills of team members
Ensure that behaviour meets expectations and apply the discipline policy where necessary
Ensuring effective communication both internally and externally (other departments and sites) in order to disseminate the company’s key messages
- Team management
Sharing direction and strategy to ensure the day-to-day commitment of the people in the department
Recruiting direct reports
Assess skills, monitor people’s development progress and provide individual feedback on performance
Ensuring a healthy and motivating working environment for teams
Carry out administrative tasks related to people management
- Budget management
Drawing up, monitoring, managing and optimising the department’s budget in accordance with the annual or revised budget
- Project orientation
Planning, coordinating and executing validation programmes, respecting deadlines and objectives.
Maintain integrity and make informed decisions in a sometimes stressful project environment.
This opportunity will focus on the NNP6 project:
AP Facility compose of 2 aseptic production modules (formulation, washing and sterilization, filling, inspection workshops), clean utilities (WFI, pure steam, air process, etc.) serving these workshops, and an industrial utilities platform.
Qualifications :
- You have 5 years’ higher education in engineering or a Masters 2 in management.
- You have at least 7 years’ experience in a similar position in a pharmaceutical environment.
- You have a good level of English, enabling you to communicate on a daily basis.
- You have knowledge of Lean Management tools such as A3, Kaizen and KATA.
- You have a good command of IT tools such as the Office suite.
- You are a good team player.
- You are rigorous, conscientious and organised.
- You have good analytical and summarising skills.
- You are able to stand back and take initiatives, and have a sense of responsibility.
- You know how to communicate and convince your contacts.
