Offer DescriptionThe Department of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications from researchers with a habilitation degree (HDR, higher doctorate) who are interested in research, teaching and organizational work within the Priority Research Areas of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology ( ) in the disciplines ofResponsibilities: * Conducting research within the Priority Research Areas of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in the disciplines of sociology and/or management and quality studies.
- Publishing research results in JCR-listed journals.
- Active participation in scientific seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Initiating, acquiring and coordinating research projects.
- Teaching courses in Polish and English, striving to raise the quality of academic teaching.
- Carrying out organizational work for the Department, the Faculty and the University.
RequirementsResearch Field Sociology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsRequirements: * Habilitation degree (HDR, higher doctorate) in sociology.
- Experience in applying computational and/or quantitative methods in the social sciences.
- Significant publication record, i.e., a minimum of 3 articles in JCR-listed (excluding MDPI journals;
) in the last 5 years. * Experience in participating as a Principal Investigator or Investigator in research projects and in applying for research grants.
- Active participation in international scientific conferences.
- Experience of university lecturing in Polish and in English.
- Proficiency in Polish and English.

d) A list of teaching activities carried out (with an indication of the language of these classes);
e) An information on experience in the preparation of teaching materials (textbooks, scripts) and/or laboratory stations, number of promoted graduates, supervision of foreign students;
f) A list of academic and teaching awards and honours;
g) An information on organisational experience (in terms of organising and managing scientific and teaching activities);
h) An information on experience in spreading scientific awareness in society (popular science, technical publications; participation in Science Festival, etc.);
i) An information on the level of proficiency in Polish (in the case of foreigners), English and other languages (certificates);
j) Other important achievements.6. List of publications:a) A list of scientific publications, divided into articles in JCR-listed journals (with the current IF value), articles in non-JCR-listed journals, books and monographs, chapters in books, published conference papers and other publications (indicating output indexed in the Scopus/Web of Science database, having an Impact Factor or with a CiteScore);
b) The number of citations of the candidate’s scientific work (without self-citation) and the H-index, according to the Scopus and/or Web of Science database;
c) List of papers and posters at international conferences, workshops and seminars7. List and description of scientific internships

10. Declaration of the candidate that in the case of winning the competition, Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be the primary place of employment* (attachment.4)*If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector’s consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Receipt of the documents from the candidate will be confirmed by the assistant/HR assistant via e-mail to the address indicated in the application.Candidates’ applications will be evaluated by the Competition Committee appointed by Dean of the Faculty of Management. After the competition procedure is closed, the applications of persons who have not been accepted for work will be returned, provided that they were sent by traditional mail.
